Gentrol® Complete Aerosol combines an insect growth regulator and an insecticide to break the life cycle of cockroaches, fruit flies, and drain flies. This product saves on labor costs by providing knockdown and kill with residual control to prevent future infestations.

Gentrol® Aerosol is non-repellent and should be considered an important component in a cockroach baiting program. Baits are an important part of a total cockroach control program but are not a complete solution. Gentrol® Aerosol can reach those nymphs that fail to forage to baits and the IGR stimulates egg-bearing females to leave the harborage and feed.

How Gentrol Aerosol IGR Works

The IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) in Gentrol Aerosol provides preventative action, since it disrupts stored product pests' normal development. Hydroprene, the active ingredient, prevents stored product pest, drain fly, and fruit fly larvae from progressing to the pupal stage of development, so the larvae die before they become breeding adults - and future infestations. Bedbugs and roaches exposed to Gentrol Aerosol will become adults incapable of reproducing, thus ending the cycle of an infestation. Gentrol IGR also stimulates egg-bearing female roaches to leave the harborage area and feed.

PESTS CONTROLLED WITH GENTROL AEROSOL IGR: Roaches, Stored Product Pests (including Indian meal moths, rice moths, tobacco moths, red flour beetles, confused flour beetles, lesser grain borers, merchant grain beetles, sawtooth grain beetles, warehouse beetles, cigarette beetles, and Dermestid beetles), Drain Flies, Fruit Flies, Bedbugs

Target Uses

Use Gentrol Aerosol for spot, void, or crack and crevice treatment of target pests as a supplement to other pest control methods. The aerosol form of Gentrol is convenient for treating flies around drains and sinks in homes, roaches in hollow table legs and voids in commercial kitchens, and bed bugs in hotels or homes. Gentrol Aerosol IGR has a foaming action for voids and a crack and crevice straw for hard to reach spots. The ready-to-use formulation is also convenient for small applications. Gentrol Aerosol IGR should not be used as the sole treatment for any of the listed pests as it is not an insecticide, just an insect growth regulator.

Gentrol Aerosol IGR Application Instructions

Shake well before use. As a general surface spray or spot treatment, Gentrol Aerosol is applied with a sweeping motion over a surface. Its visible, dissipating foam virtually eliminates the chance of missing any areas. You'll receive the same superior coverage for crack-and-crevice applications with Gentrol Aerosol's extension tube, designed for simple, accurate application in hard-to-reach areas.

To apply as a general surface or spot application, hold can 10” to 12” away from surface to be treated. Use a sweeping motion over the surface to be treated for complete coverage. This product applies as a light foam that dissipates readily. An oily residue may be apparent in heavy applications. The visibility of the dissipating foam eliminates the possibility of missed areas. For crack and crevice applications, use the supplied extension tube and apply to wall voids, hollow table legs, tube iron, gondola frames, voids, and supports.

Apply once a month for continuous protection, or more often if conditions warrant.

Each 16 oz. can covers approximately 1200 square feet.
